Santiago Calatrava is a world-renowned architect, engineer and sculptor. Although his designs are far better known in Europe, he is starting to mystify and and gain notoriety in the States. His first design in the U.S. was the Milwaukee Art Museum where he collaborated with legendary architects Eero Saarinen and David Kahler. Calatrava has shown that he has the ability to take materials like glass, steel, and concrete beyond the normal bounds.
